Tan VinhThe handmade pasta at Seattle’s vaunted Altura is incredible, and it’d better be: The finest of fine dining Seattle Italian restaurant costs $157 per person (more than Canlis!). Because the restaurant still brand new at this writing (Pacific NW magazine goes to press in advance, so I’m coming to you from early October), it seems best to leave a full report for later, but I already practically ran there and ate all the pasta, and you should, too. My favorite on the second night of Carrello’s existence was a supremely light, eggy tagliatelle simply dressed with rich Sardinian olive oil, saline gratings of the delicacy that is cured tuna heart, bits of exactingly toasted garlic, plus parsley for freshness, all in ideal proportions.
I decided to become a priest in Boston, even though I not from Boston, because I had wanted to be a university chaplain, that actually I felt being one a was a part of my vocation to the priesthood, and that the Boston area has a lot of universities, so it seemed a fit. I said that a lot. But with a few classmates who had grown up to be more interesting people (at least to me) than they were when we were all in college, some conversations went deeper..
We had a good time and the trolley was a great way to see the city. However, when we got back on the trolley one of the tour guides reeked of marijuana and it was one of the most unprofessional things we have ever witnessed. This young lady had long blonde hair that curled up around her face and wore black Ray Ban aviators.
For a while I was going back and forth on whether or not shut this blog down and be done with it. I had no idea what direction I was going in with it anymore but looking back at all the post before this one I realized that its okay for this blog to not have a steady direction. It always been about my life and just like life, you never know where you end up and with whom.

Natif de Philadelphie, Louis Faurer (1916 2001) s’installe New York en 1947, comme aspir par la vie de Times Square, il y traque la solitude dans la foule, toujours distance, sans piti. Le reportage et le journalisme, ne l’intressent gure, Faurer penche plutt pour la fragilit des choses, l’inconscient rvl. Il accomplit un travail de commande remarqu pour des magazines prestigieux comme Flair, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Mademoiselle qui gnre chez lui un mpris non feint, un dchirement paradoxal, que seul l’humour parvenait rompre.
